With the increasing global influence of the “Cloud Flower” brand, fresh cut flowers are constantly entering the international market. According to Kunming Customs statistics, in 2023, the export value of fresh cut flowers in Yunnan Province reached 570 million yuan, ranking first in the country for five consecutive years.
Recently, at the export supervision workplace of Zhonghui International Logistics Center at Mohan Port in Yunnan, customs staff were busy sampling fresh cut flowers such as roses, carnations, and stars for export. At the new freight channel 2 kilometers away from the logistics center, cold chain trucks loaded with Yunnan produced flowers depart from the Mohan Highway Port and are transported to Southeast Asian countries such as Laos and Thailand. In 2023, the value of fresh cut flowers exported through the Mohan Highway Port reached 150 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.3%. This port has become the border land port with the highest export of fresh cut flowers in China.
To ensure the rapid export of fresh flowers from Yunnan, Mengla Customs, affiliated with Kunming Customs, has innovatively implemented a classification and diversion supervision model, combined with convenient measures such as “early declaration” and “inspection upon arrival”, to ensure that fresh agricultural products complete customs clearance procedures 24\/7 without gaps, and to maximize the freshness and quality of flowers.

With the help of lower tariff barriers and better rules of origin under the RCEP framework, Kunming Customs leverages its functional advantages to provide accurate guidance on rules of origin and convenient procedures for issuing certificates of origin for enterprises, helping to further accelerate exports and reduce costs.
