China’s Yunnan flower export countries and regions have increased to 49 unaffected by drought

How is the export situation of Yunnan flowers affected by drought in Yunnan? On March 17th, it was learned from the Yunnan Entry Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that from October last year to February this year, Yunnan exported a total of 2236 batches of flowers, with a quantity of 95.78 million branches, an increase of 38.5% compared to the same period last year, and a value of 23.44 million US dollars, an increase of 56.3% compared to the same period last year.
At present, 18 flower enterprises in Yunnan Province have obtained ISO9000 quality certification, and 4 have obtained Dutch MPS certification. More than 80 bases of over 50 flower enterprises in Yunnan have obtained export qualifications.
In 2010, the market share of Yunnan flowers in the foreign market continued to increase, and the output value continued to grow. The number of export countries and regions increased from 44 to 49, and it achieved an extension of development from traditional Southeast Asian countries to developed European countries. The opening of the Kunman Highway has also opened up a land route for Yunnan Province to export flowers. Flower exports radiate to Southeast Asian countries through Bangkok, reducing transportation costs and improving quality of flowers, significantly enhancing market competitiveness
